The inspiration for this project came from my interest in collecting my favorite everyday objects—chairs. However, throughout the process, I realized that how people use chairs is even more fascinating.

As I gathered chairs, I also observed people’s sitting postures and how different individuals uniquely interact with the same chair. Whether sitting for a short moment or a long period, people naturally adjust to find their most comfortable posture. Whether sitting upright or lying down, everyone is ultimately seeking ease.

At the start of 2024, through this project, I hope to embrace life’s challenges with the same sense of comfort we find when settling into a chair.
